I will tell you what I saw. I live at 62 Schutzenhuttenweg. I have lived here my whole life. These teenagers get worse every generation. I heard that last week the Weber boy went missing. But I am sure the Henrich Schmidt is responsible.

These two boys live in the neighbourhood, but they have never been friends. Henrich seems to enjoy teasing. Henrich is a tall boy about 16 years old I think. Henrich is blonde hair and blue eyes, most of the children here do.

Henrich is a bully; he picks on all the other children. Steals their toys and their bicycles. He is the one who paints the graffiti on the street. He is not a nice child. He lives with his father on the other end of Schutzenhuttenweg. There is no mother, and his father is a drunk. I think that is why he is such a terrible boy.

Eno Weber is the exact opposite. He is also about 16, but he is short, and stout and comes from a good home. He is not a handsome boy, with his big nose and pimply face. But he is a nice boy. I often see him walking down the street; he does the shopping sometimes for his mother.

Henrich takes every chance he gets to pick on Eno. A month ago, in June, I saw Eno walking home with his groceries again around 16:00, and Henrich was behind him on the street, he ran up to Eno and shoved him. Eno fell to the ground and dropped his groceries.

I saw Henrich stomping on Eno’s groceries and laughing. It was quite a mess. I yelled out my window at the two boys and Henrich ran away. I went outside and helped Eno gather his things up and patted him on the shoulder.

In the last weeks, the attacks on Eno were getting worse. It was now almost every day. Henrich would wait on the corner of Wormser St for Eno to walk by and then he would attack him. We made many complaints to the police about Henrich, but it did not help.

Last week Tuesday, that was 12 July. I saw Henrich waiting on the corner of Wormser St just as he always did. Around 16:00 Eno walked by, as he always does. But this was different. Now I saw Henrich grabbing and pulling on Eno.

They went right onto Wormser and fell out of view.

Today I hear that Eno is missing. You must talk to Henrich Schmidt.

Sincerely,

Emily Reiner
