Primarily, an Agile coach is responsible for educating employees at all levels on the Agile principles and manifesto, lean-agile management methods, and the overall flexibility an organisation requires to get them to achieve their goals. They provide training sessions, evaluate performances, and devise strategies for optimum outcomes. They are responsible for guiding teams into lean-agile frameworks.

I was the senior scrum master and lean-agile practitioner of 4 scrum teams, and 3 ops-driven teams who used Kanban. They were responsible to ensure that sufficient technical migrations and service disruption did not take place in an overall project-based context largely driven by the waterfall methodology. I was ensured several agile, lean, and kanban practises and principles could be felt, and understood, acknowledge and appreciated. Through a structured and scientific approach, I elevated my teams from their previously poor, or underdeveloped experiences with agile and lean to become great examples of self-management, and self-organisation in teams.
